Hello, I’m Tod. I live in Western Colorado and I have lived here for most of my life.

I am the publisher, writer, and researcher for Western Colorado Travel Secrets.com. I love to travel and I love to write about it.

I have a passion for Western Colorado. I created this website to share that passion and be your personal Western Colorado Travel guide.

When I was 14, I came to Denver and saw the Colorado Rockies for the first time and I knew then, that I was going to eventually live in Colorado.

I now live in Grand Junction. Colorado. I originally, came here to attend Mesa Jr. College, fell in love with the western slope and stayed.

For the last 15 years I have been a storekeeper in Gunnison Colorado. During that time, I continued to the travel around the state and overseas.

I must warn you now, I do have biased for one of Western Colorado’s attractions. It is The Gunnison Valley Observatory. It is my pride and joy. It is the largest public observation in the state. It was my idea. I am the co-founder and I worked for six and half years to bring it to “first- light”.

So bare with me I may go overbroad when I write about it. On the rest, I will do my best to keep it reasonable.

So please join me on our romp around Western Colorado. You will have a good time.
Why I Started This Site.

By 2008 I had sold my store in Gunnison, moved back to Grand Junction. I just could not retire. So I got an idea for this travel website.

This is not the ordinary travel tourism site. It is written by a friendly native, me. I will share my opinions and insights on the area. It is real information not chamber of commerce spins. This is information you would want for planning you vacation.
